IMPORTANT INFORMATION
MUD !!
There may be muddy conditions at almost any festival if it rains heavily. Please ensure you are prepared - wellies, warm clothing, waterproofs, sun hat and sun cream - usual English summer wear!
It is possible that certain areas of the festival site will be inaccessible for wheelchairs. We will do our best to ensure you get to everything you want to see or enjoy but on-site conditions may mean we can't give any guarantees. We are in touch with festival organisers to ensure maximum accessibility for disabled and wheelchair users.
Our support team
In addition to bringing your own carer the Festival Spirit support team will include well qualified nurses. Able-bodied young people (our Buddies, aged 16+) act as escorts around the festival site to ensure maximum enjoyment of the musical performances and side shows and help out with camp duties.
Where do we stay? What equipment is available?
Each group will stay in a wonderful colourful marquee and enjoy the full festival experience.
Our accommodation has:
How do we get there?
Unfortunately we are not able to provide transport to the festivals. Please check the individual festival website for access details.
What’s the programme?
On arrival at the festival there is a welcome party followed by a tour of the arenas with help from the Buddies. We also provide a relaxed brunch each morning. The daily programme tends to be driven by the musical tastes of each individual. Potential festival goers should check out the Festivals tab above for information on each festival and a link to the festival website to find out their line-up. The variety of music and entertainment at all the festivals is amazing.
What does it cost?
The cost for individual Guest applications is £275 which includes your necessary PA/carer(s).
The cost for Buddies is £100 reduced to £50 for those helping out fully on set up and break down days.
Nurses come free of charge.
All prices include festival entry, accommodation, arrival party and a daily brunch meal. You will be expected to pay for your own food through the rest of the day. The venues have a fantastic range of foods available. These prices apply to independent Guests only. Please contact admin @ festivalspirit.org to discuss further if you are an organisation or charity wishing to bring along more than one Guest.
How do I pay?
Full payment must be made to "Festival Spirit Ltd" on acceptance.
Payment details are sent with joining instructions once your application has been accepted.
Difficulty paying?
Those who have difficulty in funding their trip should contact us. We work closely with Rotary clubs and other organisations who may be willing to sponsor places. Social Services and other charities may also fund Guests so do ask where possible, it helps us keep the events affordable for all. Festival Spirit is a small charity run almost entirely by volunteers so unfortunately we do not have the funds to provide financial support beyond the subsidies we apply to all places. Very occasionally we receive funding to enable us to offer free places so do check if you have genuine difficulty paying.
What are your criteria for Guests' attendance?
We use several criteria when reviewing guests' applications. It is always worth applying. If oversubscribed priority will be given to:

What are your criteria for Guests' attendance?
We use several criteria when reviewing guests' applications. It is always worth applying. If oversubscribed priority will be given to:
- Guests who haven't previously attended a festival with Festival Spirit.
- Those with pre-booked places with our charity partners.
- Guests who genuinely need the facilities we provide.
- Those who wish to stay for the whole festival. We actively discourage one-night stays for example as it removes an opportunity for others to take full advantage.
- We are happy to take any age but will prioritise over 16s.
- Applications received from Guests in the order that they arrive.
- Other criteria that the Festival Spirit Trustees consider appropriate to the circumstances of each festival attended.
